Interdisciplinary Materials was selected as a new journal with high starting point in Chinese Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan

Recently, China Association for Science and Technology officially issued thenotice on“2022 Chinese Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan-Selection Projectsof New Journals with High Starting Points”. Interdisciplinary Materials of WUT was selectedas one of the journals with high starting point of 2022. There were only 50 journals were selectedamong the total 177 applied ones, with a pass rate of only 28%.

To implement the Guideline on Deepening Reform to Cultivate World-class Sci-tech Journals” and promote high-quality development of Chinese sci-tech periodicals for the construction of a leading power in science and technology, China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, National Press and Publication Administration, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Chinese Academy of Engineering jointly launched Chinese Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan. This plan hasbeen the most supportive, most funded, and most extensive major support project in the field of science and technology journals in China so far.

Interdisciplinary Materials is an open-access high-level academic journal co-founded by Wiley Publishing Group and WUT. Academician Zhang Qingjie and academician Fu Zhengyi are the editors-in-chief, togetherwith 30 international outstanding scholars and 42 Chinese academicians as Editorial Board members. Interdisciplinary Materials is the first international high-level journal in the field of interdisciplinary materials focusing on the frontier of combination between materials and other disciplines, which is aimed at publishing the latest research achievements in materials scienceand its related interdisciplines, such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, mechanics, biology, energy, environment and information. This journal was formally launched in December 2021 and was included in the DOAJ database in June 2022. In September 2022, it was selected as a new journal with a high starting point inthe Chinese Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan.
