  Gao Gao, male, born in 1949, majoring in Shipping and Marine Engineering as well as Fluid Mechanics. His main research area covers computational fluid dynamics, ship wave-making resistance theory and numerical calculation, ship resistance and ship-type optimization.

  Professor Gao has undertaken and finished many research project, such as national key tackling project--“Research on ship line-type optimization”, the project of National Natural Science Fund--“Research on free surface condition and radiation condition of nonlinear wave-making resistance calculation”, key research project of Ministry of Transportation-- “Research on modern designing method of inland-river high-speed new-typed ship’s development” , the project of Hubei Natural Science Fund-- “inland-river high-speed ship’s wave-making waveform calculation and low-tail wave ship type research”, the project of China Classification Society--“Development of hull three-dimension linear wave load calculation mode”, the project of National Natural Science Fund-- “Numerical marine pool ship operation experiment fluid simulation research”, the scientific and technological research key project of Ministry of Education--“Numerical marine pool ship’s head stability forecasting research” and the current National“863 Project”-- “High-speed triple-hulled vessel key technique research”.

  Professor Gao has many academic achievements, such as stability and error analysis of free surface mobility problem potential calculation, nonlinear wave-making, high-order panel method, numerical mode and simulation of high-speed ship’s square tail mobility, high-speed ship wave-making resistance numerical calculation, etc.



  He Xiongjun, male, born in 1965, majoring in Mechanical Design and Theory, deputy director of the Department of Road and Bridge, deputy editor of “Traffic and Computer”, director of Hubei Highway Committee.

  His main research areas cover: new material and new construction bridge whole life design theory and application; bridge status analysis evaluation, life forecasting and technique modification; road and railroad’s safety and environment.

  Professor He has undertaken over 20 scientific research projects and published over 60 academic papers and one monograph “bridge construction practical computerization”. His scientific achievements include:

  1. curved skew bridge design operation analysis system WXQ3.5;

  2. three-dimensional interactive virtual scene system VRE 2.1;

  3. active-duty beam bridge steel strands and concrete interaction and status analysis research;

  4. large-scale elevated pile cap deep-water pier and continuous beam bridge key technique.



  Jiang Huiyuan, female, born in 1965, majoring in Ship and Marine Construction Design and Manufacturing, National Registered Consultants, bidding evaluation expert of Hubei Comprehensive Bidding Center.

  Her main research area covers: traffic and transportation scheduling and management, transportation economics and policy, traffic and transportation scheduling, logistics management, logistics system scheduling and management.

  Professor Jiang has long been engaged in the education and research of traffic and transportation scheduling and management. She has published over 18 academic papers as first author on important journals at home and abroad, one monograph “transportation marketing”. Her main research projects in recent five years include: Hubei Comprehensive Traffic Passenger Transport Capacity and Turnover Forecasting, Traffic Safety Target Control System Research, research on Changjiang River’s Marine Transportation Development Tendency and Its Influence on Railways and so on.



  Li Zhida, male, born in 1957, majoring in Rheology, member of China Rheology Professional Committee, director of Hubei Mechanics Association, part-time professor of Central South Forestry University of Science and Technology.

  Professor Li has undertaken and finished two national natural science funds: “Defect Body Rheology and Application”, “The Temperature Effect of Engineering Polymer Nonlinear Rheology and its microscopic mechanism”; one Hunan natural science fund: “Defect Body Rheology and Its Application in New-typed Material”. He has also taken part in several projects, such as national natural science fund key financial project(19632030), national natural science fund project(1880360), American science fund project(INT8812995), Hubei natural science fund financial project(2001ABB084) “Research on fault diagnosis of large span pre-stressed concrete continuous beam bridge crack”, Hubei key scientific and technological project “Research on real-time on-line lossless monitoring technique of engineering structural crack”, key scientific and technological project of Ministry of Transportation “Research on real-time on-line lossless motoring technique of engineering structural crack”, Hubei traffic and science project “Research on key techniques of large span pre-stressed concrete continuous beam bridge construction monitoring”.

  In addition, he has participated in Hubei traffic and scientific project “Research on the subgrade and pavement drainage system of Hubei Beijing-Zhuhai expressway”. This project has been identified by Science and Technology Department of Hubei Province with domestic advanced level and has won the third prize of Hubei Scientific and Technological Improvement. He has published over 60 academic papers and two monographs.



  Liu Zuyuan, male, born in 1963, majoring in Ship Fluid Mechanics, Member of 24th ITTC Ship Operation Technique Committee, director of China Shipbuilding Engineering Committee, director of the Academic Committee of Hydrodynamics Defense Technology Key Laboratory, Member of Ship Mechanics Committee, Member of China's Hydro-electric Power Engineering Society, standing director of Wuhan Ship-making Engineering Committee, editor of Ship Ocean Engineering.

  His current research mainly concerns with ship operation and control. Up till now, professor Liu has undertaken and finished 3 national natural science fund projects and more than 10 scientific research projects. And he has published over 40 academic papers, 1 teaching material and 1 monograph.



  Wang Chengfang, male, born in 1957, majoring in Shipping Engineering. Professor Wang has entitled with national outstanding Middle-aged and young experts in 1984, model worker of Hubei province in 1987 and received national government special allowances. His main academic achievements include: “pure bending principle frame cold bender” which has won first prize of Ministry of Transportation’s science and technology achievement and third prize of national invention, “numerical control frame cold bender’s chord measurement and measuring mechanism” which has won third prize of national invention in 1985, “tri-point support frame cold bender numerical control system” which won second prize of Chinese ship science and technology improvement, “1000kN program control frame cold bender development” which won third prize of army science and technology improvement in 2005. And he has published monograph “ship steel material processing principle” and “ship manufacturing mechanics”, teaching material “ship-manufacturing mechanical equipment” and many academic papers about “research on tri-point support frame cold bender auto-control method”.  



  Yan Renjun, male, born in 1962, majoring in Solid Mechanics, member of Ship and Marine Engineering Mechanics Committee, professor, Ph. D supervisor, dean of the Department of Structure Engineering, vice dean of School of Transportation.

  His research projects in recent four years include:

  1. Research on Standard Ship Type of the Three Gorges;

  2. Catamaran Flashboard Ship Design;

  3. Reconstruction of Minghua Ship;

  4. Self Elevating Multi-function Pile-driving Platform Development and Manufacturing;

  5. Self Elevating Multi-function Pile-driving Platform Feasibility;

  6. Two-navigational Catamaran Installing Ship;

  7. Two-navigational Catamaran Riprap Ship;

  8. Analysis of Integral Deformation;

  9. Model Experiment Research



  Yang Jixin, male, born in 1964, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, professor, Ph. D supervisor, deputy director of the Department of Road and Bridge.

  Professor Yang has undertaken and finished over ten projects of National Natural Science Foundation and provincial research projects. He has won six prizes of provincial science and technology progress. And he has published over 50 academic papers at home and abroad and one teaching material. His main research areas include bridge construction engineering, calculation mechanics and computer application.



  Yang Ping, male, born in 1955, majoring in ship and marine construction design and manufacturing, member of ISSC, member of Ship Mechanics Board, China Ship-manufacturing Engineering Committee, member of Chinese Maritime Bureau Ship Inspection Technology Committee, member of Chinese Ship-manufacturing Engineering Committee Intensity Board, and editor of “ship mechanics”, once studying in Dept. of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, University of Glasgow, UK.

  Professor Yang has published over 70 academic papers and undertaken more than 20 national and provincial defense and military research projects. He has won provincial science and technology improvement prizes and natural science outstanding paper prizes. He is in charge of provincial outstanding course “ship intensity and construction design” and national key subject “ship and marine construction design and manufacturing”. His main research areas include intensity, stability, ultimate bearing capacity and direct calculation and analysis.



  Zhang Qingnian, male, born in 1957, majoring in Mechanical Design and Theory, director of Wuhan Traffic Engineering Committee, director of Wuhan Ship-manufacturing Committee, editor of “Traffic Enterprise Management”, once studying in Belgium University of Antwerp during February-August 1985.

  Professor Zhang has long been engaged in education and research on traffic transportation scheduling and management as well as logistics management. His main research areas include: traffic and transportation system optimization and decision, urban public transport organization and management, traffic and transportation scheduling, transportation economics and investment and financing research, traffic and transportation safety and forecasting management, logistics system optimization and management and so on. He has also made some research on modern nonlinear mathematics such as neural network, genetic algorithm, fuzzy mathematics and analytic hierarchy process. He is good at dealing with practical research problem, such as data analysis, forecasting analysis, expert system supporting decision, systematic simulation research and large system construction design and optimization theoretical research, by using the latest numerical methods. He has undertaken many research projects and taken part in many traffic and transportation technique projects of Ministry of Transportation and Hubei Province.



  Zhang Xiedong, male, born in 1964, majoring in fluid mechanics, vice dean of School of Transportation, deputy director of Hubei Key Laboratory of WUT Road, Bridge and Construction Engineering, vice-chairman of Wuhan Highway Committee, deputy director of Hubei Highway Committee Bridge-tunnel Professional Board, visiting scholar of American Illinois Institute of Technology during October 2005-2006.

  Professor Zhang’s main research area includes computational fluid dynamics, computational dynamics, construction engineer and road and bridge engineer. He has also undertaken one national natural science fund project, five Hubei traffic science and technology projects and over ten crossing science and technology service projects. He has published over 30 academic papers and has won the second prize and third prize of Hubei science and technology improvement.
