Pierre Mutzenhardt, President of University of Lorraine, and his Entourage Visited WUT

  On October 24th, vice president Zeng Chunnian welcomed Professor Pierre Mutzenhardt (President of University of Lorraine), Professor Karl Tombre (Vice President of University of Lorraine) and leaders of international cooperation department of University of Lorraine.

  Vice president Zeng expressed his cordial welcome to guests from of University of Lorraine. He stated that WUT’s internationalization strategy has achieved important cooperative outcomes including joint establishment of Confucius Institute and long-term cooperation in areas like material science with University of Lorraine, as well as regular communication between teachers and students from two universities. He wished that two universities would keep deepening communication and cooperation and broadening cooperative areas. Principals from department of international communication and cooperation and pilot school introduced basic information of WUT and its pilot school to guests from University of Lorraine respectively.

  President Pierre Mutzenhardt expressed his gratitude to the welcome. He wished to deepen mutual understanding, keep strengthening cooperation in material science and other areas and actively promote cooperation in joint cultivation of students and discipline research in resources and environment, etc. He also expected that the two universities could obtain more achievements through mutual cooperation.

  Attendees from both parties also exchanged ideas on issues of mutual concern and deeply discussed on a series of cooperation programs including establishing joint-lab, strengthening student exchange and setting up training base.
