WUT Delegation Visiting France and Germany for International Cooperation and Talent
Recently, WUT delegation led by vice president Zeng Chunnian attended the 2016 WUT-University of Lorraine Confucius Institute board meeting in University of Lorraine. They were invited by Dr. Enno Aufderheide (secretary of Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung Foundation) and visited the headquarters of Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung Foundation in Bonn, Germany. Three overseas high-level recruitment fairs were given in Paris, Bonn and Frankfurt respectively.
2016 WUT-University of Lorraine Confucius Institute Board Meeting
Six French board members including Karl Tombre (vice president of Universityof Lorraine) and Doan TRAN (deputy mayor of Lorraine) attended the meeting in University of Lorraine. Chinese and French deans of Confucius Institute delivered reports on work of 2016 and overall summary of five-year work since the founding of the institute. All members were satisfied with the reports. Board members gave approval to the final account report of 2016 and budget report for 2017. Constructive suggestions were provided in the meeting for the work of 2017 and for the next five years.

Earlier this year, Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), WUT and University of Lorraine renewed the tripartite agreement of WUT-University of Lorraine Confucius Institute.

In the headquarters of Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung/Foundation in Bonn, German, WUT delegation had an in-depth discussion with relevant principals of the headquarters on subsidizing young scholars of WUT and strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The recruitment fairs in Paris, Bonn and Frankfurt attracted many overseas talents who expressed their willingness to join WUT and had an in-depth discussion with the recruitment team.
