  Professor Mai Liqiang and Professor Zhang Shujun Titled as MoE "Changjiang Scholars of 2016”   

  Recently, the list of "Changjiang Scholars Program" in 2016 has been announced by the Ministry of Education. WUT Professor Mai Liqiang has been selected as distinguished Professor, and Professor Zhang Shujun has been selected as lecture Professor.

  The "Changjiang Scholars Program" is a special high-level talent program implemented by the Chinese Ministry of Education since 2011. Initially, two categories of "Distinguished Professor" and "Lecture Professor" were set up. In 2015, the "Young Scholar" category has been added. The plan is supported by the central government special funds. Recruitment is open for both scholars at home and abroad, evaluated by the Ministry of Education and managed by position contract. 

  Professor Ma Liqiang is the Chief Professor of Materials Science school, Doctoral Supervisor, vice dean and faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology. He also serves as the Executive Director of Harvard-WUT joint Nano Key Laboratory, National Outstanding Youth Fund winner, a leading talent of National "One Million Talent Plan", and was awarded the honorary title of "Outstanding Young Experts", enjoying the special government allowances of the State Council. In addition, he is present Guest Editor of Adv. Mater., International Editorial Board Joule (Cell Journal), Adv. Electron. Mater. and so on.

  Professor Zhang Shujun is a senior scientist at the Institute of Materials Science at Pennsylvania State University, who mainly engaged in high temperature piezoelectric, ferroelectric single crystal growth, performance characterization, transducer applications and other aspects of research work with plentiful academic achievements. In 2010, he was awarded the IEEE Senior Member. In 2015, he became a member of the Executive Committee of the IEEE UFFC. At the same time, he was accredited by more than 60 international important journals such as Advanced Materials, Applied Physics Letters, Journal of Applied Physics, Small Ceramic Society Journal. He also takes the position of sub-editor of American journal of Ceramics, IEEE Ultrasound, Ferroelectric and Frequency Control, and Journal of Electronic Materials.
