Vice president of Missouri S&T Visited WUT


On December 13, vice president Liu Zuyuan met with Costas Tsatsoulis, vice president of Missouri University of Science and Technology(Missouri S&T), and his delegation. Representatives of both sides discussed deeply on student training, scientific research cooperation, and personnel exchanges, etc. The people who were present at this meeting also included heads of the International Exchange and Cooperation department, School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, School of International Education and Engineering Research Center of Silicate Materials for Architectures.

Vice president Liu Zuyuan warmly welcomed the guests and said that WUT has always attached importance to cooperation and exchanges with overseas universities. Missouri S&T with multiple disciplines and distinctive features has a lot in common with WUT. The two universities have signed an inter-university agreement in 2018. He believed that the visit of president Costas Tsatsoulis would continue to promote the cooperation between the two sides in the joint training of doctoral students and master programs, enhance personnel exchange and scientific research cooperation in machinery, civil engineering, materials science and other fields.


President Costas Tsatsoulis hoped to continue to deepen cooperation with WUT, build a platform for students and scholars for international exchanges, and promote the development of scientific research and disciplines.


During the visit, the delegation visited State Key Laboratory of Silicate Materials for Architecture, State Engineering Laboratory of Optical Fiber Sensing Technology and WUT Nano Key Laboratory, and held academic lectures for the students.
