Overseas Cooperative Colleges and Universities Cheer for WUT to Fight against the Epidemic

“As long as one has a true friend, he is close even when far away”, the epidemic of COVID-19 affects the hearts of a large number of overseas friends. Many overseas cooperative colleges and universities, foreign embassies and consulates in China and other organizations and individuals have sent letters to Wuhan University of Technology to express their best wishes to the Chinese people to overcome the epidemic and express their concern and support to Wuhan University of Technology.

They will be together with WUT to overcome difficulties during this period of time. The President of the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David also organized fundraising in its university. Teachers and students of the university donated a total of £20,000 to support WUT to fight against the epidemic. They all expressed their belief that with the joint efforts of the Chinese government, the international community, people from all walks of life at home and abroad, and all the teachers and students and staff of WUT, China will definitely emerge victorious from the “epidemic battle”. They looked forward to further academic cooperation and teacher-student exchanges between one and other after the epidemic and strengthen pragmatic cooperation.

Representatives from The Pakistani Embassy in China came to WUT to express their condolences to the foreign students and postdoctoral researchers from Pakistan and to WUT. They appreciated highly the efficient epidemic prevention and control measures implemented by the Chinese government, WUT and medical staff, and expressed their sincere gratitude to the university for providing adequate medical protective supplies and daily necessities for Pakistani citizens during the outbreak. Embassy of the Union of Comoros in China expressed concern about the epidemic and sincere greetings to the teachers and students of the university, and supported WUT to fight against the epidemic.
