WUT has a high-qualified, experienced and conscientious faculty team with 5,419 teaching and administrative staff, including 1 member of the Chinese Academy of Science, 4 members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 member of Royal Belgian Academy of Science, 1 member of Australian Academy of Engineering, 3 members of the Academy of Europe, 1 foreign member of Russian Academy of Engineering and 1 member of World Academy of Ceramic Sciences. 125 top talents are supported by Talents Scheme launched by the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, Ministry of Science and Technology, National Natural Science Foundation, Ministry of Education and Hubei Provincial Government. It also has 27 National and provincial level research and teaching teams, including NSFC innovation teams, National teaching teams, MOE innovation teams; 4 members of the 7th Academic degrees committee of the State Council; 21 members of the Teaching Steering Committee of Institutions of Higher Learning, MOE 2018-2022.
