Topic:A Generic Testbed for Simulation and Physical Based Testing of Maritime Cyber-Physical System of Systems

Introduction of the speaker:Professor Hahn received his Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Electrical Engineering in February of 1994, and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in November of 1997 from University of Paderborn (Germany), respectively. From 1997 till 2002, he was the head of development for product information systems at UNITY AG and my view Technology in Büren of Germany. He is now leading the working group System Analysis and Optimization at the Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg as Full Professor. In addition, he is the board member of the research institute OFFIS-Institute for Informatics where he is coordinating the research activities for maritime transportation systems. His research addresses design, simulation and analysis of safety critical social technical systems in maritime transportation. Coauthor of more than 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals and proceedings, he has been the editor for 3 high-impact maritime topic related journals and the reviewer for more than 10 journals. Within the last 5 years, he has been in charge of 6 projects supported by Land Niedersachsen, EU, Federal Ministry for Economy and Energy, respectively.
