[Lecture] Preview of "Global Vision Lectures" (8)

Global Vision Lectures was initiated by the International Office of WUT, aiming at providing a high-level and multi-field international academic exchange platform for teachers and students by uniting teaching and scientific research units to hold a series of high-end academic lectures. This project is designed to promote scientific research exchanges, to broaden the international horizons of teachers and students, and to further enhance their international communication capacity. The eighth lecture will be held on October 18th, and the activity information is as follows:

Biography:

Jianguo Lin is a member of the Royal Academy of Engineering of the UK, and a professor at the Imperial College London. He has long been engaged in metal material forming and multiscale modelling, including micro-mechanics modelling, and its application in creep-damage, cyclic-plasticity-damage, viscoplasticity and advanced metal forming technologies.The research results achieved by his team have been widely applied in industries such as aviation, aerospace, automotive, steel, and material processing in the UK, France, Japan, Israel, China and other countries, with significant social and economic benefits.

Academician Jianguo Lin has initiated and organized multiple international academic conferences, delivered more than 20 academic keynote speeches, published over 200 high-level academic papers, and obtained 9 international invention patents.With patents protected in 53 countries, he enjoys a high reputation in the international academic community. Academician Jianguo Lin was awarded “The Davey Udal Award” for his major contribution to technical development in the sheet metal industry. He was also the recipient of the 2016 President’s Awards for Excellence, the highest award of the Imperial College London, for his great contribution to the university.
