Biography: Rodrigo Martins is a Professor at NOVA University Lisbon, a Member of the European Academy of Sciences, and a Member of the Portuguese Academy of Engineering. He currently serves as President of the European Academy of Sciences and Chair of the European Materials Research Society. He has previously held positions including Chair of the International Union of Materials Research Societies, Member of the Scientific Council of the European Research Council, Member of the Advisory Committee of the Horizon Europe Programme, and Distinguished Scientist of the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Overseas High-Level Talent Program. Professor Rodrigo Martins is a distinguished scholar in the field of advanced materials, one of the inventors of paper electronics, and one of the founders of flexible electronics. He has published more than 1,350 research papers.
