Biography: Dr. Dong Yi is an Assistant Professor, PhD Supervisor, and Postgraduate Program Director at the School of Computer Science and Informatics, University of Liverpool. He holds a PhD from the University of Manchester and is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and an IEEE Senior Member. Currently, he serves as the Co-Lead of the Trustworthy Autonomous Cyber-Physical Systems Research Group at the University of Liverpool. His research areas include safe and explainable artificial intelligence, power system energy management and optimization, and robotic unmanned autonomous systems. In recent years, he has led or participated in related projects with a total funding exceeding £15 million, supported by organizations such as the Alan Turing Institute, the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, and the UK Defense Science and Technology Laboratory. He has published over 40 papers in top-tier international journals and conferences including ICML, AAAI, ICCV, ICLR, NeurIPS, and IROS. He serves as a Program Committee Member for top AI conferences such as AAAI, ICML, and IJCAI, and is an Area Chairman for NeurIPS 2025 and 2026.
