Abstract: Granular packing, a fundamental topic bridging statistical physics, materials science, and engineering applications, has recently seen significant advances in areas such as the mechanical stability of disordered systems and the structural control of dispersion systems. To foster in-depth academic exchange and international collaboration in this field, and to support the international development of the State Key Laboratory of Silicate Materials for Architectures, the Wuhan University of Technology (WUT), Institute of Theoretical Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences (ITP, CAS), and Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) will jointly host the International Packing Mini-symposium in Wuhan on April 21, 2026. This symposium will feature themed reports by renowned scholars from the Netherlands, China, Japan, and other countries, covering cutting-edge topics such as the geometric theory of random packing, elasticity and energy landscapes of the jamming transition, topological mechanical stability, and aging and fluidization behaviors in granular materials. We warmly welcome faculty, researchers, and professionals from universities, research institutes, and related industries worldwide to participate in this event.
