Dr Wu Yanbo, Vice President of San Francisco State University paid a visit to WUT. In the afternoon of 6th, July, Dr Wu Yanbo delivered a wonderful speech at Room 201 in the University Conference Center. Xia Jiangjing, deputy secretary of party committee of WUT hosted the event.
Dr Wu Yanbo introduced the overall situation of higher education in the US from 7 aspects, namely, diversity, government regulation, university management, degree procedures, general education, and the development of higher education in the US. He also interacted with audience.
Major administrators of the subunits and administrators from WUT Teaching Affairs Office, Graduate School, Scientific Development Department and Students Affairs Office, etc. attended the lecture.
Dr Wu Yanbo was warmly welcomed by the attendees who gained a better understanding of the US higher education.
Graduated from the English major in Capital Normal University, Dr Wu Yanbo got his MA degree in English pedagogy and PhD degree in comparative education after he had been to University at Buffalo, the State University of New York for further study. With an experience of teaching at three American public universities, Dr Wu Yanbo was appointed twice as the administrator of Chinese affairs at the US Association of International Educators, and worked for many international education associations.
Founded in 1899, San Francisco State University is one of the oldest public universities in the United States. Both universities first signed exchange agreement in 2006.
