On July 1st, the 2010 CJK (China-Japan-Korea) Seminar and Summer Workshop for Advanced Materials was held in WUT, with 75 representatives from China, Japan and Korea participating in. President Zhang Qingjie attended the seminar and delivered an address. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Fu Zhengyi, the Cheung Kong Scholar, director of the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Technology for Materials Synthesis and Processing.
The seminar was sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF). President Zhang Qingjie gave his warm welcome to the participants on behalf of WUT. What was more, Professor Xu Jian, director of the Expert Team of China's "863 Program" also delivered a speech and expressed his congratulations on the seminar. Meanwhile, Professor Zhang Yongtao, deputy director of the International Cooperation Bureau of NSFC, gave a PPT demonstration on national materials science.
The main content of the seminar was to introduce the latest research achievements in the field of advanced materials, provide a good academic exchange platform for researchers in relative fields so as to establish a network for human resources and laboratory equipment resources and thus lay a solid foundation for long-term cooperative research among China, Japan and Korea.
