On March 23, more than 1700 staff and students of WUT received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at the temporary vaccination site of Nanhu Gymnasium. University leaders Xin Sijin, Liu Zuyuan and Liu Chunjiang went to vaccination spot, visited medical staff and students volunteers.

Secretary Xin and his delegation examined the vaccination process, extended greetings to the on-site staff.

WUT attaches great importance to the free COVID-19 vaccination campaign. Since March 13, under the overall command of the WUT epidemic prevention and control office and led by the local Health Bureau, WUT had widely publicized the significance of COVID-19 vaccine as well as its vaccination arrangement; A large number of volunteers were sent by  WUT Youth League Committee to participate in the guidance, organization and service work; Three vaccination sites for COVID-19 vaccine were set up in the university hospital. At present, more than 20000 people gained their vaccine in batches after making appointment on Wechat app.
