Professor Wu Shaopeng of WUT was elected as a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (REAN)

Recently, the Russian Academy of Natural Science (RAEN) sent a congratulatory letter to Professor Wu Shaopeng of the State Key Laboratory of Silicate Materials for Architectures (WUT), congratulating him on his election as a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (REAN).

Professor Wu Shaopeng, the chief professor of WUT, is awarded the special government allowance of the Hubei Provincial government and the State Council. He has been specialized in research and application of asphalt-based road construction materials and solid waste resource utilization for a long time. In 2020, Professor Wu Shaopeng was selected as the Worlds Top 2% Scientists 2020 (in the field of materials science). From 2019 to 2020, he was consecutively awarded the title of China’s highly cited scholar in Elserver for thefield of Materials Science and Engineering.

Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RAEN) is the largest social science academy in Russia, which was founded in August 1990 by scientists and well-known scholars engaged in basic scientific researches. In January 1995, it was officially recognized by the United Nations, and in July 2002, it obtained the status of the UN non-governmental organization. At present, the academy has 24 faculties, 18 Nobel Prize winners and over 270 academicians.
