In the afternoon of November 10th, the opening ceremony of the Second Teachers & Postgraduates Sports Meeting of WUT was held in the ground track field at the South Lake Campus. The theme of the sports meeting was to show the youthful energy of postgraduates and build a better relationship between teachers and students.

Liu Zuyuan, Vice President of WUT, declared the second teachers & postgraduates sports meeting open.

Vice President Wang Shijie encouraged all teachers and students to actively participate in the construction of harmonious learning guidance relationships, promote exchanges by relying on activities, pay attention to scientific research and health at the same time, lay a good physical and mental foundation for future scientific research and self development, and better shoulder the mission of the times.

The dance team of the School of Physical Education, which won the championship of the six-person group of the China DanceSport Championship, brought a wonderful opening dance performance. In order to further stimulate the vitality of the athletes, at the end of the opening ceremony, the teachers and students on the scene formed two columns to conduct the warm-up trainingunder the leadership of Xiong Mina, a teacher from the School of Physical Education. The warm-up of this sports meeting innovated the characteristic section of teacher-student interaction, which could shorten the distance between teachers and students, promote their communication, and enhance their friendship in a healthy and relaxing way.

This year's fun sports meeting for postgraduates and teachers had 7 projects, involving more than 1000 teachers and students from 21 colleges. On the playground, teachers and students stimulate their youthful vitality, radiate their sportsmanship, and demonstrate their determination to move forward in science and engineering. The red, blue, and yellow uniforms were particularly glaring in the warm autumn sun, and the harmoniousguiding atmosphere shone on the field. All participating teams expressed that teachers and students were closer to each other in this activity, and they would continue the vitality in the playground to their scientific research and learning in the future.

The sports meeting was hosted by the WUT Sports Committee, co-organized by the Postgraduate School, the Postgraduate Affairs Office, the Youth League Committee, and the School of Physical Education, and co-organized by the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering. The whole teachers and students were energetic and enthusiastic, having good interaction in the competition and building a harmonious atmosphere on the playground.
