From May 20 to 21, the final of the Third International Supply Chain Modeling Contest was held on the Yujiatou campus of WUT. The contest was hosted by the China Communications and Transportation Association,organized by Wuhan University of Technology and the Training Center of China Communications and Transportation Association, and co-organized by the Youth Scientific and Technological Professionals Working Committee of China Communications and Transportation Association.

The participant leaders are as follows: Li Gang, Vice President and Secretary General of the China Communications and Transportation Association and Former Director of the Policy Research Office of the Ministry of Transport of PRC, Shao Mai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Hubei Provincial Road Transport Development Center, Xu Youlin, Former Chairman of the Hubei Provincial Comprehensive Transportation Research Association, Wang Yanghong, Chairman of the Hubei Provincial Comprehensive Transportation Research Association, Luo Rong, Vice President of WUT, Liu Zuyuan, Former Vice President of WUT, He Mingke, Deputy Director of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Logistics Management and Engineering Majors in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education of PRC, Gao Weiwei, Director of the Personnel Department and Training Department of the China Communications and Transportation Association and other related officials.

The theme of this contest is "Digital Modeling Fuels Cost Reduction, Efficiency Enhancement, and Chain Intensification", introducing practical cases of enterprise supply chain. Meanwhile, the contest is divided into three groups: Challenge Group, Elite Undergraduate Group, and Elite Vocational Group. During the contest, over 500 participants from 77 teams from various universities and colleges across the country, based on the cases background, data and specific issues to be addressed, used supply chain modeling theory, methods and tools to conduct data collection, systems modelling, problems analysis, solutions design and summarized statements on the basis of the design plan.

Experts from national ministries, universities and relevant industry units such as the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Land and Resources, Peking University, Fudan University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Beijing Jiaotong University, Wuhan Polytechnic University, Avic China Aero-PolytechnologyEstablishment, China DevelopmentInstitute, SF Technology, the Walt Disney (China) Co., Ltd., Siemens (China) Co., Ltd., China Great Wall Technology Group Co., Ltd., Xiaomi Corporation, Beijing Logis Technology Development Co., Ltd. and so on, served as the judges for the contest.

After on-site defense and evaluation, special prizes and first, second, and third prizes were respectively awarded to related groups.
