On August 21, Sunny Yang, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Newcastle, Australia, and her delegation visited Wuhan University of Technology (WUT). Luo Rong, Vice President of WUT, met with the delegation and the two sides had discussions on the development of cooperative education programs.

Luo Rong, on behalf of WUT, warmly welcomed Sunny Yang and her delegation. She said that the undergraduate program in finance jointly organized by Wuhan University of Technology and the University of New Castle had been running successfully for more than 10 years and passed the assessment of the Ministry of Education of China in high quality. The two sides achieved a series of results in the exchange of faculty members and students and talent cultivation, and she hoped that the two universities would carry out pragmatic cooperation in the areas of scientific research and faculty cultivationon the current basis.

Sunny Yang thanked WUT for the warm reception and detailed arrangement. She said that she came to China to visit WUT for deepeningthe mutual understanding and having in-depth exchanges with the managers of the cooperative programs. She emphasized that WUTwas an excellent university in China, and they were willing to carry out international cooperation with WUT in more fields and at various levels, and continue to promote the practical development of the cooperative program between the two universities.

Relevant directors in charge of the International Office and School of International Education of WUT participated in the meeting.
