From October 29th to November 1st, the 14th International Conference on Advocated Lithium Batteries for Automobile Application (ABAA14), organized by the International Automotive Lithium Battery Association (IALB), was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The association awarded Prof. Mai Liqiang the IALB Research Award for his outstanding contribution to basic and applied research on lithium-ion batteries and beyond.
Renowned scientists, industry leaders, and government officials from all over the world, including Prof. Stanley Whittingham, the 2019 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry; Prof. Peter G. Bruce, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Gerbrand Ceder, Fellow of the National Academy of Engineering, attended the conference online or offline.
The International Conference on Advanced Lithium Batteries for Automotive Applications (ABAA), launched in 2008, is an international conference jointly initiated by the International Association of Lithium Batteries for Automotive Applications (IALB), as well as advanced lithium battery enterprises and renowned scientific research institutes in China, the U.S., Japan, South Korea, and other countries. ABAA is held annually, aiming to promote R&D on advanced electric vehicles globally, promote the exchange of scientific research and experiments progress, as well as enhance global cooperation, which has an important position and influence in the International New Energy Vehicle and Lithium-ion Power Battery Industry.
