The 9th IEEE International Conference on Integrated Circuits and Microsystems held in Wuhan

The 9th International Conference on Integrated Circuits and Microsystems (ICICM 2024) took place in Wuhan from October 25 to 27. Jointly hosted by Wuhan University of Technology, Southeast University, and the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, the conference attracted over 200 experts and scholars from universities and research institutions worldwide. Participants attended both in person and online to discuss the latest advancements and future trends in integrated circuits and microsystems.

The opening ceremony on October 26 featured Professor Zhang Di, Vice President of Wuhan University of Technology, who, on behalf of the host institutions, extended a warm welcome and appreciation to all attending experts and guests. He expressed hopes for deep exchanges and collaborative exploration of innovation pathways in the integration of circuits and microsystems.

The conference featured keynote speeches by three renowned experts: IEEE Fellow, recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund, and Dean of the School of Microelectronics at Tianjin University, Professor Ma Kaixue; IEEE Fellow and Professor Wen Xiaoqing from Kyushu Institute of Technology; and Associate Professor Lü Yongqiang from Tsinghua University, a Changjiang Scholar. Their keynote topics included “Silicon-based Millimeter-wave and Terahertz Integrated Circuits,” “Power-sensitive LSI Testing: Current State and Future Directions,” and “Microarchitecture Side Channels.”

In addition to the three keynote speeches, the conference included 10 invited talks, with sessions held across 13 parallel sub-forums and 67 poster presentations. Attendees engaged in comprehensive discussions on popular topics, including “Microcircuit Design and Functional Testing” and “Data-driven Microelectronic System Design and Signal Analysis.” As a vital platform promoting global collaboration and advancement in the field of integrated circuits and microsystems, ICICM 2024 provided participants with opportunities to showcase research achievements, strengthen international cooperation, and accelerate technological innovation.
