From December 28th to 30th, the 13th International Conference on Transportation and Traffic Engineering (ICTTE 2024), hosted by WUT, was held in Wuhan. To effectively strengthen its international impact, this conference was held concurrently with the 3rd International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Power Engineering (MEPE 2024).
Over 200 scholars, technical experts, and young students from universities, research institutions, and enterprises in various countries and regions, including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Singapore, convened to discuss technological innovation and practical applications in the fields of “Transportation and Traffic Engineering” and “Mechanical and Power Engineering.” They shared cutting-edge research findings and the latest practical insights in related disciplines.
Luo Rong, Vice President of WUT, stated in her opening address that this conference servesd as both a platform for academic exchange and a catalyst for deep integration between industry, academia, and research. In the context of globalization, the fields of “Transportation and Traffic Engineering” and “Mechanical and Power Engineering” confront the dual challenges of technological innovation and sustainable development. The theme of this conference closely aligns with the industry trends, and fully reflects the strong focus by academia and industry on addressing current social needs and anticipating future technological trends. The conference aims to stimulate innovative ideas and contribute wisdom and strength to the sustainable development of the global transportation system and mechanical and power engineering technologies through in-depth discussions and exchanges.
The conference consisted of keynote speeches, invited talks, four offline parallel sessions, four online parallel sessions, and two poster presentation sessions. Topics included big data, high-speed rail technology, future transportation, urban brains, intelligent transportation, integrated transportation and tourism, new energy vehicles, the sharing economy and green travel, advanced electronic systems and application technologies, and intelligent robots and control systems.
