China Scholarship Council (CSC) recently released the list of funded projects under the 2025 International Cooperative Training Programs for Innovative Talents. All three International Cooperative Training Programs submitted by WUT have been approved, respectively titled “International Leading Talent Training Program for Advanced Composite Materials” led by the School of Materials Science and Engineering, “International Leading Talent Training Program for Key Technologies in Embodied AI and Human-Machine Collaboration” led by the School of Information Engineering, and “International Innovative Talent Training Program for New Drug Development and Bio-intelligent Manufacturing for Degenerative Diseases” by the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Life Science.

The International Cooperative Training Programs for Innovative Talents, established by the CSC, are designed to support national strategic goals by fostering high-level, urgently needed talent through innovative training models. The program supports collaborations between Chinese and foreign world-class institutions, particularly in advantageous disciplines, aiming to betterserve comprehensive reforms in the education sector and the development of world-class universities and disciplines, thereby cultivating more innovative, urgently needed, and interdisciplinary international talent. The project implementation involves participating institutions submitting proposals to the CSC, followed by expert evaluations to determine the funded projects, the categories of support, and the scales of candidate selection. Institutions then nominate candidates based on the approved projects and selection criteria, with final approvals granted by the CSC.

WUT(Wuhan University of Technology) has consistently emphasized the internationalization of its graduate education. By increasing investment in development, enhancing process management, and improving the international competence of graduate students, the university has laid a solid foundation for applying for national-level International Cooperative Training Programs. In the future, WUT will continue to strengthen the cultivation of international capabilities among graduate students, promote reforms in graduate training models, and further enhance the quality of graduate education.
