On February 23rd, Vice President Wang Fazhou met with Mr. Chen Xiaoyun, Chairman of Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL), and his delegation at the conference center of Wuhan University of Technology (WUT).
Wang Fazhou extended warm greetings to Chairman Chen and his delegation, providing an overview of WUT’s academic strengths and distinctive educational features. He highlighted the valuable insights that could be drawn from the acquisition of foreign universities by Chinese private enterprises in response to the national strategy of “Education Going Global”. He expressed hope that both institutions would leverage their respective strengths to actively align with the Belt and Road Initiative, fostering in-depth collaboration in civil engineering, artificial intelligence, and other key fields. Through these joint efforts, the institutions aim to complement each other’s advantages and extend high-quality educational resources and advanced pedagogical concepts internationally, contributing to the global expansion of Chinese private education.
Chairman Chen expressed his gratitude for WUT’s warm reception and shared insights into IUKL’s industry background, educational philosophy, and integration of teaching with industry resources. He emphasized that this visit aimed to establish a preliminary framework for collaboration and hoped to capitalize on WUT’s academic expertise to further enhance IUKL’s educational and research development.
Representatives from the International Office, School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, School of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence and School of Management attended the meeting.
