On February 27, a delegation from Hiroshima University visited Wuhan University of Technology (WUT). Vice President Luo Rong met with President Masayoshi Tsuchiura and his delegation.
Vice President Luo extended a warm welcome to President Tsuchiura and his team, introducing the university’s development history, scientific research, talent cultivation, and international cooperation. Luo noted that Hiroshima University has significant strengths in fields such as medicine, environmental science, and engineering technology, emphasizing its focus on international collaboration through partnerships with universities and research institutions worldwide. By offering English-taught programs, the university aims to cultivate globally minded professionals. Given the long-standing partnership between the two institutions, Vice President Luo expressed WUT’s aspiration to expand the scope of collaboration, enhance the depth of academic exchange, and take this visit as an opportunity to launch a new chapter in student exchange programs, fostering higher-level international cooperation.
President Tsuchiura expressed his gratitude for WUT’s warm hospitality and commended the university’s achievements in relevant fields. He highlighted the strong friendship established between the two universities over the years and expressed his desire to explore new models for deepening cooperation through international exchange student programs, continuously expanding the scope and depth of collaboration to achieve mutual benefits in a wider range of academic and research domains.
Representatives from the International Office, Network Center, School of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, and other relevant departments attended the meeting.
