On July 11th, the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Education announced a decision on official appointments and removals at Wuhan University of Technology (WUT). Comrade Meng Fangbing was appointed as Secretary of CPC WUT Committee, and comrade Wang Fazhou was appointed as President of WUT and Deputy Secretary of CPC WUT Committee. Comrade Xin Sijin no longer served as Secretary of CPC WUT Committee, and comrade Yang Zongkai no longer served as President of WUT and Deputy Secretary of CPC WUT Committee. Xu Qingsen, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Education, Vice Minister, and Director of the Department of Personnel, and representatives from the Organization Department of the Hubei Provincial Committee attended the meeting and made speeches.
Members of WUT leadership, recently retired senior officials, members of the Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Commission, mid-level administrators, professors, and faculty representatives were present.
Profiles of Meng Fangbing
Meng Fangbing, born in February 1977, has a postgraduate education and holds the degree of Doctor of Management. He is a member of the Communist Party of China and a researcher. He previously served as Standing Committee Member and Vice President of Wuhan University of Technology, Deputy Secretary of CPC WUT Committee, and Standing Committee Member and Vice President of Tibet University (on secondment).
Profiles of Wang Fazhou
Wang Fazhou, born in October 1975, has a postgraduate degree and holds the degree of Doctor of Engineering. He is a member of the Communist Party of China and a professor. He previously served as Standing Committee Member and Vice President of Wuhan University of Technology, and Deputy Director of the Department of Moral Education of the Ministry of Education (on secondment).
