On the afternoon of June 15, Liu Aiping, Party Secretary of the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), led a delegation to WUT for a study visit and exchange. Meng Fangbing, Party Secretary of WUT, and Li Chaoxin, Deputy Party Secretary, accompanied the delegation during the visit.

On behalf of the university, Meng Fangbing extended a warm welcome to Liu Aiping and her delegation, and gave an overview of the university’s history and development, disciplines and talent cultivation, and progress in the digitalization of education. He noted that, with diverse platforms such as Chinese-foreign cooperative education, government-sponsored study abroad, and university-enterprise collaborative education, the university has established a comprehensive, multi-dimensional system for cultivating international talents, creating favorable conditions for young students to participate in international exchanges. He expressed the expectation to deepen practical cooperation with the CIYEC, utilize the respective strengths of both sides, and work together to build a broader platform for international youth exchange and cooperation.

Liu Aiping expressed her gratitude for WUT’s warm hospitality. She stated that the CIYEC is committed to enhancing mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign youth, and coordinates the implementation of multiple national-level youth exchange programs. The Center and the university share broad prospects for cooperation in youth cultivation, talent exchange, joint think-tank construction, and resource sharing. She hoped that both sides would take this visit as an opportunity to continuously deepen regular collaboration, work together to build youth exchange brands with international influence, and jointly promote the high-quality development of youth international exchange endeavors.

Heads of school’s Youth League Committee, the International Office, and the Smart Operations and Assessment Office reported on their respective work in specific areas.

After the meeting, Liu Aiping and her delegation visited the school History Museum and the Art Gallery.
