On June 26, Jiang Hui, Secretary-General of the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO), led a delegation to visit and sign a cooperation agreement with WUT. The university’s President Wang Fazhou attended the meeting. Vice President Li Zhengying chaired the talks.

Wang Fazhou warmly welcomed Jiang Hui and the delegation. He noted that the university is currently making every effort to advance the “4310” Internationalization Action Plan, and that the cooperation with APSCO is of great significance. Taking this event as an opportunity, the university will efficiently link its disciplinary strengths in materials and emergency management with APSCO’s featured projects, and carry out multi-field educational cooperation, international talent cultivation, and interdisciplinary joint research. Through co‑establishing research centers and other platforms, WUT will promote high-level cooperative outcomes for both sides.
Jiang Hui expressed great appreciation for the university’s innovation and integration plan and introduced the organization’s latest projects. She stated that APSCO will leverage its multilateral platform advantages to conduct cooperation with our university in cooperation network building, exchange of visiting scholars, and collaboration on cutting-edge research projects, continuously promoting deeper and more substantive exchanges and cooperation.

At the meeting, the two sides formally signed the cooperation agreement. In the afternoon, the delegation visited the Smart Learning Center and received a briefing from the Intelligent Operation Center on the university’s IT infrastructure development. They also had in-depth exchanges with relevant departments.
Representatives from APSCO, and leaders and faculty representatives from the International Office, the Assessment Office, the School of Safety Science and Emergency Management, the International Student Management Center and other units participated in the above activities.
