WUT joined International Consortium for Higher Education Transformation and Innovation

From 2nd July to 3rd July, the delegation of Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) led by Li Zhengying, Vice President, was invited to attend the International Forum for Higher Education Transformation and Innovation in Hong Kong. The university officially joined the International Consortium for Higher Education Transformation and Innovation (ICHETI) during the forum.

Hosted by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), this forum gathered together leaders, experts and scholars from universities around the world to discuss cutting-edge topics such as the paradigm shift towards the goal of “Education 4.0”, and empowering higher education with AI. During the forum, PolyU held a launching ceremony for the ICHETI. Renowned universities, including WUT, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, University of Science and Technology of China, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Tongji University, Yonsei University (Korea), and University of Auckland (New Zealand), were invited to witness the launch of the Consortium as founding members.

In the discussion session, Li Zhengying introduced the development progress of digital intelligence transformation in WUT and highlighted the alliance-based cooperation plan. He also expressed his hope for further mutual visits with other member universities to strengthen communication and promote the implementation of cooperation programs.

During the visit in Hong Kong, the delegation conducted in-depth discussion with PolyU and other universities on topics such as digital and intelligent education development, talent cultivation, research collaboration, and faculty-student exchanges.

The delegation includes heads of the Undergraduate School and the Informatization Office, and staff members of Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Affairs Office.
